A video of a driverless burning car moving on a road in Jaipur has gone viral on social media. The dramatic event unfolded in Sodala Sabzi Mandi area. The car, driven by Jitendra, caught fire due to a suspected short circuit. Upon noticing the flames and smoke, Jitendra quickly escaped. However, the car continued moving driverless, speeding down an an elevated road. It eventually collided with a divider after crossing the elevated stretch. No injuries were reported despite the chaos caused by the vehicle.






Motorcyclists abandoned their bikes upon spotting the car and many people can be seen frantically rushing away from their vehicles to avoid the car. The car left behind a huge blanket of smoke.


The driver was descending the elevated road when he noticed smoke billowing from the vehicle's air conditioning unit, Times of India reported. He immediately contacted his brother for advice and checked under the bonnet. Jitendra discovered that the engine was ablaze when he lifted the bonnet.

In a similar incident, a car caught a massive fire near Delhi's Dwarka underpass on Monday. It caused disruption in vehicular movement on the route. Visuals surfaced on social media showed the red colour car turning into a ball of flame. Huge flames emanated from the car as several people gathered to watch it. There is no immediate report of any injury or loss of life in the incident.
