Wildlife-related content are an instant hit on social media platforms. Several pictures and videos of the wild shared on the internet shows us a variety of things, such as how an animal cares for its young one or how do they hunt down their prey. In one such video that has gone viral, a tiger can be seen running behind an Indian gaur and scaring it away.
"Survival in the wild is challenging for both the Prey and the Predator video- shared on SM," read the caption of the clip shared on Twitter by Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Supriya Sahu. The clip was originally shared on Twitter by by Orissa Wild.
In the video one can see the Indian gaur running at full speed as a tiger chases it. The tiger did not pounce on its prey but looked as if it was only trying to chase the gaur away.
Since being shared, the video has amassed 252.9k views 2,437 likes and several comments.
"This is first time I am seeing on camera a tiger chasing a gour. Thanks very much for this wonderful pic," wrote one user after watching the video.
"Rare sighting. Tigers normally do not charge at such a might Indian Gaur. They both avoid each other out of respect for each other's power or perhaps fear!," wrote another user.
"Some times they are just territorial issues .. apart from survival," wrote a third.
"What power!! Two mighty beasts at their best," wrote a fourth.
