A video of a mama rhino giving birth to a newborn baby who was up and charging minutes after coming into this world, has gone viral on the internet. Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Sudha Ramen captured this precious moment and shared it on social media.


While posting the video, the IFS officer said it is rare to see a rhino giving birth to a baby. The caption of the video shared on the micro-blogging site twitter read, "It's a rare to get sight such precious moments. A new life, after 16 to 18 months of gestation."


'The multiple threats for its survival has made these critically endangered species as a population that needs highest protection & conservation, the caption shared by Ramen further read.

Since being posted on the social media the video has garnered 105.8k views and several comments.
