A US man experienced a horrifying incident when the milkshake that he ordered from a food aggregator turned out to be urine. According to Fox 59, Caleb Woods from Utah had placed an online order on Gurbhub for fries and a milkshake. After the order arrived he took a sip of the milkshake and immediately realised that it was urine.
''When I started eating my meal upon delivery, I put a straw in my cup that was delivered and took a sip. I soon discovered that the cup delivered to me from the GrubHub driver was a warm cup of urine'', said Woods to the outlet.
He immediately called the delivery person back to his house and asked him about the milkshake. "Do you realize this is pee,'' asked wood to the driver.
It is then that the driver said that he often relieves himself in styrofoam cups that he keeps in his car while working long hours, and by mistake he grabbed the wrong cup and delivered it to him.
Annoyed with the incident, Woods reached out to the company for refund. But it took Grubhub four days to get back to him and initiate a refund, which was only partial.
''They refunded like $18, the actual cost of the food. They didn't refund the delivery fee or the tip that I gave,'' he said to the outlet.
Later, Grubhub came out with a statement and said that they have ended the contract with the delivery person.
"This is unacceptable, and we have absolutely no tolerance for this or any type of misconduct on Grubhub. We took immediate action with the driver and ended his contract with us. We also followed up with the customer to apologize and provided coaching to the first representative who was in touch with the customer,'' Grubhub was quoted as saying by FOX Business.
