After trying Maharashtrian cuisine like kokum sherbet, vada pav and Saoji mutton, at Maharashtra Sadan in Delhi last month, Eric Garcetti, the US ambassador to India went to the Tamil Nadu Bhawan in the city on Thursday to try out South Indian thali, served in traditional style on a banana leaf. He shared a video of the same on Twitter in which he is seen enjoying the delicacies of the state. What impressed him the most was the complexity of the delicious delights.

In the video, one can see Garcetti sampling idli, sambhar, cabbage poriyal and more such delightful Tamilian dishes. He finishes his meal with payasam, which is a dessert, filter coffee and paan.
The US Ambassador is so fond of Indian food that he has his own web show by the name "Savouring India with Ambassador Garcetti"
Since being shared, the video has amassed close to 3 lakh views and 5,047 likes. Social media users were simply delighted to look at Garcetti enjoying South Indian cuisine in a traditional way.
