Kshitij Gurbhele, an alumnus of IIT-Roorkee, pleasantly surprised his father by revealing his success in the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE). 


Gurbhele achieved an impressive all-India rank of 441 in India's one of the highly toughest exams. The touching moment was captured on camera when he visited his father's workplace during lunchtime. This moment has garnered around 18 million views online on Instagram.


In the video, Gurbhele is seen entering the office with a light-hearted remark: "When a senior officer visits, one must stand up, right?" His father, immediately recognizing his son's accomplishment, rises for a hug and shares celebratory kisses. Colleagues, joining in the jubilation, gather around the pair, cheering them on.















Taking to Instagram, Gurbhele expressed his gratitude to his family for their unwavering support throughout his two years of preparation.



















"This is how I delivered the UPSC CSE 2023 result to my father, who was casually having lunch with his colleagues at his office. It took two years of hard work for this very special moment. Forever grateful to Mummy, Papa, and Didi for being the only constant in this journey," he wrote in his Instagram post.

The UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) is widely regarded as one of the most challenging exams in India. It entails a rigorous selection procedure spanning approximately a year to choose candidates for esteemed positions such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and the Indian Police Service (IPS).
