In a bizarre incident in Uttar Pradesh, a man was seen catching a snake from a river and eating it live in Fatehpur. According to media reports, the man has been identified as dacoit Ganga Prasad, who was recently released from jail after he served his sentence.


The visuals of the entire incident surfaced on social media, where the man can be seen sitting by the river, trying to catch a snake. After finding one, he holds it tightly from its neck, and moves towards the person recording him. 


He can be seen choking the reptile as he waits until the snake stops moving. The man then bites off a piece of it. 


Passersby can also be seen watching the man eat the snake live.






The viral video drew reactions from netizens who were shocked to see such an act.

An X user wrote: "How is this possible, it feels very strange to see, there are so many things to eat and you only got snake to eat."


Another user wrote on X: "Oh God, how can it be possible that someone ate a snake, what is still to be seen in this world, my soul trembled."


While an X user called him "Bear Grylls Indian version," another commented "extreme or just bizarre culinary adventure?"


Another netizen suggested: "Isko to fir se jail me daal dena chahiye. [He should be put back in jail]."


After the video went viral, Fatehpur police responded to it and wrote that necessary action will be taken against him.


"In this case, the Kishanpur police station in-charge has been directed to take necessary action," the police wrote on X.
