Lulu Mall and Hypermarket in Hyderabad, which was launched recently in Kukatpally, witnessed chaotic scenes after a massive crowd eager to explore the high-end stores created a mess inside the mall. As the day progressed, the situation got worse. Videos circulated online show unruly behaviour and vandalism as the authorities fail to control the influx of crowd.

A segment of the crowd was seen engaging in destructive behaviour. These people specifically targeted packaged goods and beverages. In the videos that surfaced on social media, shelves containing various products can be seen ruthlessly plundered, items opened, and items used. The empty packets and bottles were then discarded in the mall.

A user took to X and shared the visuals of the mall. "Stampede like scenes at Lulu Mall, Hyderabad. Bad decision to visit on a Sunday. Wasted 5 hours, stuck in traffic, wait times for food almost 1 hour and didn’t even purchase anything because of long lines. Plus the heat omg! Horrible experience,” the user wrote.

“@HYDTP NH65 is experiencing super high traffic due to LULU mall opening. From metro pillar A906 to pillar A713 . And the parking at LULU mall is super congested and the staff isn’t able to manage , @hydcitypolice @KTRBRS please look into the issue,” wrote another user.

A user named Muzzammil Khan took to X and said, “Sorry & Ashamed This is not #Hyderabad nor it represents the #Hyderabadi culture….But only the hordes of settlers/looters that have migrated to Hyderabad! Videos Courtesy: Instagram users -food_hud -charishma_lagadapati”.
