Which diet is better and has more protein and less fat– vegetarian or non-vegetarian? This is a never ending debate which people try to avoid. But a woman’s insensitive remark on vegetarian food on Twitter has sparked a heated discussion once again. Lawyer Subuhi Khan shared a picture of her vegetarian meal took and indirectly dig at non-vegetarians and praised vegetarian food.

“Proud to be a vegetarian. My plate is free of tears, panic, guilt, anxiety and fear," read the caption of the picture that included rice, dal, and a green sabji. Her post did not go down well with Twitter users who subjected her to harsh 'roasting'. They called her out for being judgmental and insensitive.

Infact the post started a massive debate with vegetarians reiterating that it is healthy to thrive on vegetables and pulses, while the  the non-vegetarians opposed it.

Since being shared the post has garnered 1.4m views 26.1k likes and several comments, with majority of them expressing their disagreement with Subuhi's perspective.

"Yeah, but no thanks. Proud to be non-vegetarian :),' commented one user on the post.

"So as per your logic, plants, vegetables won't have life? Ain't you eating them after crushing and cooking? You wanna eat veg its fine but dont give irrational gyan," wrote another user.

"If plants have feelings too, as some argue, how do you reconcile the fact that your vegan diet still causes harm and death to living organisms lol? & If humans are naturally omnivorous, why do you insist on denying our true nature?," wrote a third.

"So you don’t wear leather shoes/belts/purses. Didn’t get a COVID19 vaccine either right? Both originated from animals. Just know that! Have a nice day!," wrote a fifth.

While another user differed and wrote, "Despite being a non-vegetarian, I completely agree with you. Vegetarianism is the way to go. It’s my mission to transition into being a vegetarian."
