There are several videos shared on the internet that talk about the struggles people face in terms of physical and emotional trauma while fighting the disease. But most of them have an underlying note of optimism and hope for a better day.
In a heartwarming video shared on social media, a hospital in Turkey's Kayseri city uses toy cars with balloons to help children suffering from cancer to move them around for treatment.
In a video shared on Instagram by Anadolu Agency, a state-run news agency, one can see children driving around battery-operated toy cars to go to their treatment room. The cars are also decorated with balloons to cheer up the children battling the disease.
“Turkish hospital gives children electric cars to drive to cancer treatment. At a hospital in Turkish city of Kayseri, children with cancer can get on mini battery-operated cars, instead of a stretcher, to go to their treatment room,” read the caption of the post.
The video has already garnered close to 3,000 views and many comments.
"A great initiative," commented a user on the post after seeing the video.
While another wrote, "God bless!".
The facility was built to meet the demands of bone marrow transplantation and the treatment of children who have cancer, said Dr. Musa Karakurkcu, the head of the KANKA association and the director of the Pediatric Oncology Department at Erciyes hospital, reported Anadolu Agency.
Last month, a video of a barber shaving off his own hair in solidarity with a woman suffering from cancer had become viral on social media.
