A roadside ice cream vendor in Telangana's Warangal district, identified as Kaluram Kurbia, was apprehended by authorities after a video surfaced showing him "masturbating" into his product.
Kurbia, hailing from Rajasthan, was captured on camera indulging in the act while selling ice cream in Nekkonda. The footage, which went viral on social media platforms, triggered widespread outrage among viewers.
The local police, acting on the circulated video, took Kurbia into custody for further investigation. The incident, reportedly filmed at the Ambedkar Centre, prompted authorities to initiate legal action against him under section 294 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for obscene behaviour in a public setting.
The SHO of Nekkonda region took to X and said: "In a WhatsApp video yesterday in Nekkonda Mandal against him who behaved indecently in a public place The Nekkonda Police registered a legal case and made an arrest."
Although the exact details of the act depicted in the video were not disclosed by the police, it was confirmed to involve an "inappropriate act".
The disturbing footage depicted Kurbia in the act of masturbating and allegedly adding semen to what appeared to be a container of ice cream or 'Faluda'.
The censored version of the video circulated widely on social media platforms, exposing the individual operating an ice cream stand under the name 'Bherunath Ice Cream Kulfi' at the Ambedkar Centre, as per a report by India Today.

'No Words': Here's How Netizens Reacted
In response to the shocking video, social media users expressed their disgust and questioned the motivations behind the vendor's actions.
"My only question is WHY? Hate for customers or something else? Judge should ask him reason before giving harshest of punishment. Food adulteration beyond imagination," commented one user.
Another user expressed disbelief, stating, "I heard rumours in the past about street food vendors adding urine for enhanced taste. I never believed it until now. This leaves me speechless".
Echoing similar thoughts, several users called the act "disgusting". Expressing shock, a user said, "New fear unlocked".
While this incident of public food contamination is unprecedented, it brings to mind a similar bizarre occurrence involving Spanish chef David Munoz, renowned for his three Michelin-starred restaurant Driver XO in Madrid. Munoz expressed interest in incorporating a fish semen-based dish inspired by Japanese cuisine into his menu, sparking controversy and debate over unconventional culinary practices.
