A video of author and philanthropist Sudha Murthy, who is also the wife of Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy has gone viral on the internet. The clip is of an interview where she speaks about food, restaurant and her food preferences. Murthy in the YouTube interview 'Khaane Mein Kya Hai' says she is a pure vegetarian and generally carries her food as she is concerned about people using the same spoon for  both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

"I am adventurous in my work, not in my food. I am in fact scared. I am a pure vegetarian, I don’t even eat eggs, or garlic. What I am scared of is, is that the same spoon will be used for both, vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. It weighs on my mind a lot! Hence when we go out, I only search for veg restaurants. Or, I carry one bag full of eatables. I carry ready-to-eat stuff, that you have to just heat in water, I carry poha," Sudha Murthy said in the interview.

Sudha Murthy's remarks invited diverse opinions with some social media users supporting her views, while others trolled her for her remarks.

"People who advocate freedom to eat beef are angry that Sudha Murthy carry her own food and cutlery while traveling abroad," commented one user.

While another wrote, "Someone tell Sudha Murthy not to touch her son-in-law, daughter and their kids,"

"People hate Sudha Murthy coz she is a traditionalist yet a billionaire," commented a third.

Serious question:Why is Sudha Murthy's pure vegetarian lifestyle triggering some people? She's not asking you to change your food habits. What happened to respecting all choices? You don't diss Jains.Or vegans .Or pescatarians, etc," wrote a fourth.

"On Foreign Trips, Sudha Murthy carries her house along with her, what if the Hotel room was used by another person…," read another comment.
