A video of a young girl selling pens to support her family in troubled Afghanistan has surfaced on social media. Shared on the micro-blogging site Twitter, the video shows a girl trying to sell a pen to someone inside a car. The woman passenger asks the girl named Zainab what she was selling and for how much. The girl says she is selling pens and tells the woman the price after which she purchases all the pens. The little girl, however, says she has been paid more than the price but the woman pays her a couple of more currency notes.


"Little Afghan girl in Kabul selling pens to support her family " if I bought them all would you be happy?" read the caption of the post shared by Nahira Ziaye, who is a lawyer.






Since being shared a few days back, the video has amassed 687.1k views, 9,365k likes and several comments.
