West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday posted a video of herself walking on a treadmill. She, like most of us who work out on the weekends, needed a little additional motivation, and a little, fluffy dog did the trick.

"Somedays you need some extra motivation!" she captioned the video, which ended with an emoji of a puppy. While comments have been disabled, the video has received over 15,000 views and has chronicled at least eight distinct incidences, according to The Indian Express.

Mamata Banerjee has always been an advocate for physical activity, and in 2019 she went on a 10-kilometer jog in Darjeeling to raise awareness about conservation.

The 68-year-old lawmaker, who has been in politics for five decades, has also been a vocal critic of the BJP. She recently lambasted the party, stating she would be glad if the BJP's "downfall" began with the Karnataka Assembly elections, the results of which would be announced on May 13.

Earlier this week, CM Banerjee tweeted: "India deserves change for better. There's no bigger a power than the power of people. On the occasion of Maa-Mati-Manush-Divas, I urge everyone to unite against Jumla Politics. When all opposition parties come together, BJP will lose the battle and India will win the war against divisive forces."

She also expressed her support for the #MeToo protest being staged in Delhi by the country's best wrestlers.
