Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday took out some time from her busy Karnataka assembly election campaign and tried her hands on making dosa at a restaurant in Mysuru. During her visit to the Mylari Hotel - one of the oldest food joints in Mysuru - for breakfast, Gandhi was accompanied by Congress state chief D K Shivakumar, party General Secretary and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala.
In a video that has gone viral on the microblogging site Twitter, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra can be seen standing inside the kitchen of the restaurant where the dosa batter is placed in a huge container alongside the tawa to cook the dosa. Soon she takes out the batter in a bowl and begins to pour it on the tawa and spread it in the right shape with some guidance from the cook. In some time the dosa begins to cook but at least two of them were charred after she apparently failed to flip them on time, leading to bursts of laughter by people around her.
Since being shared, the clip has already amassed close to 23,000 views and is counting.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday held a massive roadshow in Krishnarajanagara in Mysuru seeking people's support ahead of the May 10 Assembly polls in Karnataka.
Large number of party workers holding Congress flags were seen marching along with the vehicle, as it passed through the streets, amid drum beats and slogans like 'Congress Congress' and 'Priyanka Gandhi ki jai', reported PTI.
The Congress is making all efforts to defeat the ruling BJP in the Karnataka elections and form government in the state.
Voting for the 224-member Karnataka Assembly elections is scheduled on May 10 and the results will be declared three days later.
