In a stomach-churning incident, commuters in China's Nanning were drenched in human excreta after poop rained from the sky this week. The "sh*t show" happened after a newly-installed sewage pipeline burst on the morning of September 24, shooting faeces 33 feet into the air, before it rained down on unsuspecting bikers and pedestrians

The visuals of the bizarre incident went viral across social media, showing a liquidy poop fountain shooting into the air before splitting over vehicles and pedestrians on a busy road in southern China.

The video also contains the dashcam footage of one car's windscreen being completely covered in poop as a yellowish fountain of human waste billows the air. The situation tasted worse for bikers and pedestrians, who were forced to navigate the stinky sea of excrement.

The horrifying incident happened on a section of the road undergoing work at around 11 am on September 24, when while construction workers were conducting a pressure test on a newly installed sewage pipe, it ruptured, according to a report by The Sun.

As per the report, authorities have confirmed that no one was injured by the explosion but the blast was so powerful that a digger flipped over at the site. Several vehicles also reportedly sustained damage as human excreta landed on them with force due to a sudden sewage pipe explosion.

Officials rushed to the scene and a huge clean-up operation was carried out after the blast. The local authorities are reportedly investigating the causes behind pipe rupture to prevent similar incidents in the future.
