A university in Pakistan's Lahore has grabbed the attention of social media users by arranging a 'fake shaadi' event in the premises of the institution. Videos of the Lahore University of Management Sciences' (LUMS) unusual party, which was organised for two seniors of the university have gone viral on the internet.


The fake ‘shaadi’ was complete with pomp and grandeur and also included the sangeet function. The students celebrated the event as "Bollywood Day" and dressed like the renowned characters from Bollywood movies, according to twitter users.


The two seniors chosen to play the role of the bride and groom were dressed in elaborate bridal clothing. Even the students acting as guests were dressed appropriately for the wedding.


A user by the name of Lord Ayan shared a video of the incident on Twitter and it immediately went viral.


"Lums having an annual fake shaadi, where two seniors are picked to get married, sounds so fun," read the caption of the post.






Since being shared, the video has amassed over 5 lakh views and tons of comments.


"kasam se, i’m even more tempted to go here now," wrote one user on seeing the video.






While another user wrote, "So now people are doing fake marriages for fun wow what's else we can expect I hope not worse than this .."
