We have seen many content creators in India mimicking Kangana Ranaut in their videos but now a Pakistani actress has become popular cross-border for the way she mimics Kangana. Pakistani actor Ukasha Gul’s spot-on impersonation of Kangana on the show 'Showtime With Ramiz Raja' has taken social media by storm.
Pakistani actor Ukasha Gul mimics Kangana Ranaut
The clip features Ukasha dressed in a black saree paired with a pink blouse, mimicking not only Kangana's voice but also her signature curly hairstyle. The performance, which left former cricketer Ramiz Raja and co-host Hina Niazi in fits of laughter, included a playful line from Ukasha in Kangana’s tone: “I have seen two kinds of gents in my life—married gents and detergents. Both are equally good at cleaning clothes.”
Netizens react
The video, originally shared on YouTube, quickly garnered attention. Viewers flooded the comments with praise, with one person commenting, “She is more Kangana than Kangana herself!”. Another user wrote "Stellar she is... how beautifully she changed her voice."
Ukasha made her debut in the 2022 Pakistani hit ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’, where she shared the screen with renowned actors Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan. After her big-screen debut, Ukasha also featured in the television series ‘Thana Tick Tock’ and the short film ‘Lukan Miti.’
Kangana Ranaut on her mimicry
Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut, who is gearing up for the release of her political drama Emergency, spoke about mimicry in a recent interview. Kangana shared that she doesn’t take offense when people imitate her.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama in August, the actor said, “Main apni mimicry dekhti hoon. Kitne log mujhe mimic karte hain. Main to bohot zyada popular hoon mimicry ki duniya me (I often see people imitating me. There are so many mimicry artists who try to imitate me).”
She added, “Aisa nahi hai ki hum dekhte hain aur hum offend ho jaate hain (I don’t get offended when I see them).”
In fact, Kangana admitted that she is flattered when someone nails her mannerisms. “Jab koi bohot dil se kisine mimic kiya ho, mujhe bareeki se pees ke pi liya ho, uspe hum prabhavit aur mohit ho jaate hain (If someone mimics me with sincerity and captures my essence, I am truly impressed and flattered),” she said.
Kangana's upcoming film 'Emergency', originally set to release on September 6, 2024, is currently delayed due to issues with the censor board.
