The united opposition front will be called 'INDIA' - the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance. The name was proposed by the Congress party at the united Opposition parties meet in Bengaluru, that was attended by 26 "like-minded" parties. Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi was also in attendance at the meet that looks to take on the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Several parties, including the MDMK, KDMK, VCK, RSP, Forward Bloc, IUML, Kerala Congress (Joseph), and Kerala Congress (Mani), are among those who joined the second opposition meeting. The first meeting of the United Opposition was held on June 23.

Soon after the announcement was made by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge at a press conference on Tuesday, people began to share their reactions on internet.
