A newspaper clipping showing a list of animated shows featured on Cartoon Network posted on Twitter has turned the internet users nostalgic. The clipping features the schedule of cartoon shows to be telecast on a particular day on channels such as Star World, Cartoon Network, CVO and Discovery Channel starting from 5 am. 


Popular shows like the Scooby Doo, The Powerpuff Girls, Tom and Jerry, Dexter's Laboratory, The Mask and The Popeye Show also featured in the newspaper clippings. The post rekindled old memories of several social media users.


The clip was posted on the micro-blogging site Twitter by Priyanka Thirumurthy with the caption, "This is how a perfect day looked like in 2001! "


Since being shared, the post garnered 76.3k likes and 11k retweets.






One of the user on seeing the post wrote, "Before 2000s CN used to finish at 9pm with popeye being last show at 8.30, post which a TNT bomb would explode on screen to end cartoons for the night. Post 9pm it used to be black and white english songs/movies."






"5 years before this and coming back from school would be Small Wonder, Wonder Years, Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles and Batman right from 4:30 to 6:30," wrote another user.

"Literally me daily looking at newspaper to just read the names of different shows and how many times they are coming. Man I really miss those days much better than today's social media era," wrote a fourth.
