Businesses and companies around the world try to come with names and logos that are catchy and attract customers. Creating a powerful impact on the minds of it customers through the logos or names is the main motive. An Indian real-estate agency in Mumbai also tried to stand out by adding a French accent to their brand name.
A picture of the agency signboard was shared on the microblogging site X, formerly Twitter, by a user named Shreemi Verma, who poked fun at the brand's name. The pic taken from the side of a busy road showcased the brand name as "Khandelwal Groupe'', that seemingly attempted to make it sound posh
''No one will think you're French if your name is Khandelwal bro calm down,'' read the caption of the post shared by Verma.
Since being shared, the post has amassed over 1 lakh views, 3.6k likes and tons of rib-trickling comments.
"Groupé" means “grouped”. Not even a noun," commented one user on the post.
"Groupe is French, Groupé is not. And it should be Groupe Khandelwal because that's how French syntax works!," wrote another user.
"I don't even think groupé is a word. It's groupe," commented a third.
"True...but I am sure some numerologist told Lala G this would bring better luck!," commented a fourth.
"It's like the trend in Pune, many shops are called shoppe," wrote a fifth.
