A video from Australia’s Queensland has gone viral in which a large python can be seen slithering across the roof of a home onto a tree. The residents of the area have been gripped in fear and are wondering how the massive reptile got there in the first place. After knowing about it several people living in the vicinity came to see the unusual sight and one person among them shot the video.
The video was first posted on TikTok with the caption, "Only in Australia will you see a 5-[meter] long Carpet Snake in the suburbs." Later, the video was shared on the microblogging site X (formerly Twitter) by a user named Levandov.
The video opens to show a 16-foot python slithering across the roof of a home onto a tree. As it is still moving, it turns its head towards the onlookers. On seeing this a child begins to cry. While a woman can be heard saying how scary it is.
The clip ends with the python moving onto another tree. Despite the height, the reptile has no problem crawling it.
One of the Twitter user on seeing the video wrote, "The family is so cool and calm. Wow. Looks like its normal, it Australia!!"
."Omg can’t understand why you’re not all stood around screaming! Lol," commented another user.
"That's at least a 7-meter constrictor. Magnificent!," wrote a third.
"A good thing to have around, unless of course if you have chooks or small pets…They love rodents!," commented a fourth.
