Sports lovers are known to go to any extent to watch their favourite team or star play the game. We have seen several videos on the internet where fans have made bizarre attempts to watch a game. In one such photo shared online, a hardcore football fan is seen watching a FIFA World Cup match while getting operated in the hospital.

The video immediately caught the attention of industrialist and an avid social media user Anand Mahindra. After watching the video, the business tycoon immediately popped up the question to his followers whether the man deserves some kind of trophy.

The picture was reportedly taken in a hospital in the Polish city of Kielce and shared by some staff member on the social media.

Mahindra, who stumbled upon the photograph of the man undergoing the medical procedure, tagged FIFA on Twitter with the caption, "A man in Poland continued watching the World Cup even while having an operation under spinal anaesthesia. The picture was shared by the hospital treating him, SP ZOZ MSWiA in Kielce."

According to reports, the man underwent surgery on the lower part of his body on November 25. Before the procedure was performed, the football fanatic asked surgeons if he could watch the match between Wales and Iran while they performed the surgery. The hospital authorities granted permission and a television set was brought into the operation theatre.

One of the user on seeing the photo wrote, "If you’ve ever watched a game with any real level of interest, especially a particularly close or intense one, you’ve probably felt better."

"It's like Me watching Argentina's game even having a exam next day," wrote another.

While a third jokingly wrote, "He can be awarded "Golden Eye" similar to "Golden Foot".
