Online shopping has made our lives extremely easy today. But one of the biggest drawbacks of this mode of purchase is that items sometimes can get misplaced or you can even receive poor quality goods. Something similar recently happened to a person who had bought a packet of makhana from an e-commerce platform.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Siddharth Shah said he found tiny insects crawling through the makhanas he ordered from Flipkart. he goes on to say that he ordered a non-returnable packet of premium phool makhana from the e-commerce platform after which he decided to complain to the company
He also took multiple pictures of the packet of makhana and shared it on the microblogging site along with the order number.
"I ordered Farmley Premium Phool Makhana from #Flipkart. When I opened the package, I saw live bugs and little insects. It's horrible to go through this. Furthermore, there is no return policy for the product," wrote Siddharth on X.
Initially, the company responded with the standard answer and asked him to delete all the details related to the order from X. Later Shah shared an update and wrote, “Update: Flipkart has issued a refund for this order. Thanks everyone for all the support!”
Since being shared, the post has gone viral with over 1 lakh views. Several people have voiced strong reactions about Flipkart delivering such an item.
"This is why people consider buying stuff offline better than online stuff," commented one user on the post
"Bro never order food products from Flipkart same happened with me they sent a expired item," wrote another user.
While a third wrote, "Ye to retailer ki glti Hai.. I prefer near by store to purchase grossaries."
