While making a major announcement like a job promotion or some other kind of an achievement, we tend to be a little creative. But an assistant professor in Maharashtra has sparked laughter online and impressed the internet for his unique announcement poster. The Prateekshit 'Kanu' Pandey, who was appointed Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication at UC (University of California) Santa Barbara, instead of sharing a simple write-up about his achievement decided to share the news in a style akin to celebratory banners seen during political campaigns in India.

Sharing the the quirky poster on X, formerly Twitter, Pandey wrote, "Am happy to officially announce that I am joining the Department of Communication at UC Santa Barbara @CommUcsb as an Assistant Professor, starting January 2024. The blessings of my elders are pouring in)''.

In the poster, Pandey is dressed like an Indian politician and is striking a 'victory' pose with garlands around his neck. The poster also carries images of other university dignitaries and supporters.

Since being shared, the post has amassed 1 million views and tons of comments.

"Best I have seen this week. Wonder what you would do @ promotion," commented one user on the post.

"I don't know whether to congratulate you or vote for you. Big fan," wrote another user.

"Congratulations! This is fantastic. If, at all, I run for the PM post, will reach out to you for managing our campaign," commented a third.

"Took me a few seconds to get the context. Hahahaha! Just what was needed to start the day," wrote a fourth.
