A job recruitment call for a service and kitchen crew by a Singapore restaurant has left the internet users amazed. Good salary along with a range of perks and incentives is what has captured the attention of social media users in India. After looking at the offer, several people have expressed their eagerness to join the company.
Taking to the microblogging site X (formerly Twitter), a user by the name @GabbbarSingh posted a picture of the job poster and wrote, "A recruitment poster outside a restaurant here in SGP. Look at the perks".
The advertisement was taken out by Ajumma’s Korean Restaurant, a fast-casual restaurant based in Singapore. The company is offering an hourly wage of $10-$15 to part-time workers, while full-time service crew will get $2750-$3300 a month. Some of the incentives to be offered are Staff allowances, medical benefits, yearly sponsored dental benefits, additional insurance coverage, meal provisions, annual incremental leave and study leave, twice yearly bonus, monthly revenue incentive bonus, referral bonus, sponsorship for employees study course.
Since being shared, the post has amassed over 75,000 views. The comments box is also full with people debating bout the incentives given by Indian companies.
"This is what a good company is, actually caring about their employees," commented one user on the post.
"$10 - $15 is the average hourly wage rate across the developed world. Now, just compare it with the Indian hourly rate," wrote another user.
"We see them as perks coz we don't find them being offered here. They see them as their minimum responsibility towards their employees," commented a third.
"That’s why you can’t compare India and other world purely in terms of .0001%. There’s honor and dignity of work when you work in a kitchen which you can’t expect to get in India. India is great for rich people," wrote a fourth.
