A Pakistani cooking show is making headlines after a viral audition clip took the internet by storm. In the clip, a contestant offers biryani to the judges, which she says is from a restaurant, rather than being prepared by herself.

When she presented the biryani in styrofoam packaging instead of aesthetically dishing it out, the judges were naturally surprised. When they asked her the reason for this bizarre presentation, her reply left the judges and the internet in utter disbelief. She said this was bought from a restaurant in the area where she lives.

Her defence for the move was even fantastic. She said that she had not been informed that the dish had to be made by her.

The video, which was taken from Pakistani cooking show 'The Kitchen Master' that airs on Express Entertainment, features chefs Samia Jamil, Rabia Anum, and Ammara as the judges. After the contestant's revelation, the judges ask her to leave, but she insists that they taste the biryani she had brought for them with immense effort.

The video, which was shared on Twitter by journalist Amber Zaidi, has since gone viral, with netizens taking to social media to express their amusement. Some people have suggested that the interaction may have been scripted for TRP gains. "Its a preplanned clip, In pak they make these kind of dramas a lot. Learn their culture then post [sic]," tweeted a user.

"I think it's scripted for trp or to get the show viral and seems it's worked. Itna naive nahin ho sakta koi [no one is this naive] [sic]," tweeted another user.

The incident has caused a stir among fans of cooking show competitions, with many people criticizing the contestant's lack of preparation and understanding of the competition. However, others have found the incident amusing, with one person tweeting, "This is hilarious, Amber. Thanks for making me laugh so hard on a Monday afternoon...". The clip even sparked a meme fest.
