One of the most anticipated matches of the group stages in the Cricket Word Cup 2023 is being played between two cricketing arch rivals, India and Pakistan at the Narendra Modi stadium, the world's largest cricket stadium, in Ahmedabad today. Both the teams will look for a win to move up the points table in the group and live up to the expectations of their fans.
Between 1992 and 2019, both the teams have met 7 times in the World Cup, with India winning all the encounters. This time too Indian fans hope that the result is going to be the same. While, the Pakistani fans expect their team will turn things around.
And as fans of both the teams wait with bated breath for the outcome of the match, brands have also jumped into the fray with moment marketing posts for the India vs Pakistan World Cup clash.
One of the advertisements by food aggregator Zomato shared on X, shows a street almost empty due to people watching India-Pakistan match with a tagline written "Ab indiaaa-india ka time hai." Further in the video, a Zomato delivery boy reaches a house to deliver food to Ranveer Singh and Chris Gayle who are watching the match. Soon an argument ensues between them to which the delivery boy replies "Ab Zomato Zomato ka nahi, indiaaa-india ka time hai."
Another advertisement by Uber India reads, "Ind vs Pak match ke pehle hotel booking milna mumkin hi nahi namumkin hai. But you know what’s possible? Reserving an Uber Camper for you + 3 of your closest & craziest Team India fans."
While a Myntra advertisement reads, "This is a green jersey, if you see blue, you support team India #INDvsPAK."
Akasa Air also shared a video on X in which everybody travelling in the plane are wearing the men in blue T-shirts. "A skyful of cricket fans onboard! The excitement has begun! #IndPak #AkasaAir #ItsYourSky #IndVsPak," reads the caption.
