New Delhi: In a viral video purportedly from Jammu and Kashmir, a Sikh man was seen shielding a Muslim resident under an umbrella amid a hailstorm as he knelt in prayer in the middle of a street. In the clip that has since been shared widely across social media platforms, the Sikh man could be seen standing patiently, holding the umbrella for his Muslim brother as long as the latter offers his Namaaz in the face of hostile weather.

The video drew praise from netizens, many of whom took to the social media handles to underline the larger message of love and communal amity that this act of generosity sends at a time when the world is consumed by violence and the scourge of conflict.

As the viral clip rolls, the Sikh man is seen rushing to the Muslim resident with his umbrella after he catches him kneeling in prayer, seemingly oblivious to the inclement weather around him.

Amid the pitter-patter of hail on rooftops, corrugated tin sheets and the street, the Sikh man could be seen standing by, holding his umbrella over the Muslim man’s head to keep him from getting drenched.

ABP could not independently check the veracity of the video.

The gesture drew wholesome praise from netizens, with one calling it “the most powerful and beautiful” moment.
