The entire country erupted in joy after SS Rajamouli’s hit film RRR and the documentary The Elephant Whisperers won an Oscar each on Sunday, March 13 in Los Angeles. The 41-minute Tamil documentary competed alongside Haulout, How Do You Measure a Year?, The Martha Mitchell Effect, and Stranger at the Gate.

Set in Tamil Nadu’s Madumalai Tiger Reserve, the documentary is directed by Kartiki Gonsalves and produced by Guneet Monga who accepted the award on the Oscars stage.

As jubilation over the win continues in the country with people sharing celebratory posts on social media, the popular dairy brand Amul also celebrated the historic Oscars win.

Amul shared an adorable doodle celebrating the victory by The Elephant Whisperers that revolves around the relationship an indigenous couple share as caretakers of two abandoned elephants.

The doodle features the animated versions of Guneet Monga, the producer, and Kartiki Gonsalves, the director of the documentary. The iconic Amul girl also features in the doodle along with an elephant.

''The Elephant Whisperers wins Best Documentary Short Film at Oscars!'', read the caption of the post shared on Instagram by the dairy brand. ''Haathi Mere Saathi. Amul Jumbo Taste," is also inscribed on the doodle.

Since being shared, the post has garnered over 1 lakh likes and tons of comments.
