Cricket World Cup 2023 has begun and all are looking forward to the group stages clash between India and Pakistan to be held at the Narendra Modi stadium, the world's largest cricket stadium, on October 14, Saturday in Ahmedabad. Cricket enthusiasts have been showing their love for the game and supporting Indian team in their own unique ways. Rauf Sheikh, a jeweller from Jamalpur in Gujarat has created a mini replica of Cricket World Cup trophy in Gold.


The gold World Cup trophy weighs a mere 0.9 grams. Sheikh had also made replica of Cricket World Cup trophies in 2019 and 2014 that weighed 1 gram and 1.200 gram, respectively. Sheikh wishes to give the 2023 replica trophy to Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma.


"In 2014, I made a World Cup trophy weighing 1.200 grams and in 2019, I broke my own record by making a 1-gram trophy. Now in 2023, I have made a trophy weighing 0.900 grams...If I get a chance during the upcoming India-Pakistan match, I will give this trophy to Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma...,'' said Sheikh Speaking to news agency ANI.






Talking about the performance of the teams so far in the competition, both India and Pakistan have won both their matches in the group stages. While India have eased past Australia and Afghanistan, Pakistan have beaten Netherlands and Sri Lanka. However, while India's wins have come on two different venues, Pakistan will play in Ahmedabad for the first time, having played all their warm-up games as well as their first two matches of the round-robin stage in Hyderabad.
