Maintaining a work-life balance in today's world of demanding work culture is difficult. Employees in the corporate world have to work  8-9 hours six days a week, and if the travel time between office and home is added it leaves them with little time for themselves. But this GenZ intern has his goals clear. In a Twitter post Sameera Khan, the Director of People Success at Infeedo talked about her experience of interviewing this intern, who doesn’t wish to work for more than 5 hours a day and also wants a stipend between Rs 40,000-50,000. 


Her post has sparked a debate on Twitter about the work-life balance.


“I was interviewing a GenZ intern today and he says he is looking for work-life balance with not more than 5 hours of work," stated Sameera.


She further said that the intern was not interested in working with an MNC as he didn't like the work culture and preferred working with a startup.


"Doesn't like the MNC culture so wants to work at a startup. Also, wants a 40-50k stipend. God bless the future of work," Sameera's Twitter post further read.






Since being shared, the post has amassed over 7 lakh views and started a debate online about work-life balance.


"So true! Just met a young cousin who rejected a '9-5' because it interrupted his 'prime gaming hours'. The future is fascinating!," commented one user on the post.






"I love the Genz for the most part. Millennials spend too long hustling that there's no life left," wrote another user.






While another wrote, "Well not only this, in three month he will quit all of sudden after training and say 'maza nahi aa raha hai'."






"I hire genz every quarter and they can’t take pressure at all but do expect a huge amount of money. They are creative but they are talking jobs for granted. There are many companies hiring right now but hiring will also come to a pause soon plus the freelancer GENZ are another challenge . They make a great amount of money which most jobs won’t pay they at their age but again when it comes to delivery they can’t adjust to revisions , feedback because feedback are ego hurting to them. It’s like I am the best take this ✌🏻. Startups & companies should just put a stop to this," wrote a fourth.
