A mama black bear and her cub were caught on camera treating themselves to Krispy Kreme doughnuts inside a delivery van in Alaska in the US. The bears raided the van after it was stopped outside a convenience store during its delivery route and the door was left open. After 20 minutes the driver spotted the bears inside the van, said Shelly Deano, the store manager of Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson JMM Express to Associated Press.
The manager and the driver tried to scare away the bears by banging on the van's sides but the bears chomped on doughnut holes and other pastries.
"I was beating on the van and they’re not moving. I could hear them breaking open the packages and everything. I was like, ‘They don’t even care,’" said Deano to AP.

"They ate 20 packages of the doughnut holes and I believe six packages of the three-pack chocolate doughnuts," she added.
Base security personnel were called, who blasted sirens to shoo the bears.
The bears eventually came out and wandered in front of the convenience store and gas station a bit before heading into the woods.
According to Deano, It’s common to see bears on base or around the store but something like this happened for the first time.
Capt. Lexi Smith, a spokesperson at the base, speaking to Associated Press said authorities on base 'are aware of this and other wildlife situations throughout the past several months,"
“We urge the public to use caution to ensure you are protecting our wildlife and yourselves. Wildlife may be our neighbor, but they should not be attracted to our human food sources,” she said by email.
