Despite the society becoming more open in their outlook towards women, people still don't speak freely about menstruation or periods. However, there are some who keep making efforts to kill the stigma associated around it. A video of a a content creator's Bollywood-style gesture towards menstruating women has gone viral on the internet.


Shared on Instagram, the video opens to show a chair kept at an open area in a market place with "sit here if you are on periods" written on it. Soon women come one by one and sit on the chair. And as the women sit on the chair the two men surprise them by singing Bollywood songs. They also shower the women on their period with rose petals, and treat them with sweets.


"Dear menstruator, In the natural course of life, there exists a profound cycle that only menstruators can truly comprehend. It’s a monthly journey through discomfort and pain, yet you continue to stride forward with resilience and a smile on your face," reads the caption of the post.


"Your strength during these times not only reflects your fortitude but also serves as a reminder to us all that even in the face of adversity, we can rise above, with grace and a smile, as you do," the caption reads further.


Since being shared, the viral video has amassed over 9 million views and 732,727 likes. The comments box was also filled with varied reactions.






"I was so overwhelmed and touched I still have those roses pressed between my journal thank you so much for this moment," wrote one of the woman who experienced the sweet gesture from the content creator.


"Literally you’re the man written by women but in real life," wrote another user on the post.


"You made me emotional. You are the sweetest god bless you," commented a third.


Reiterating a similar feeling another user wrote, "I'm in tears, this is just so beautiful and you could see the happiness on their faces".
