Biryani is among the most favourite food items in India, and is served almost in every restaurant across the country. It is also a popular dish served by street vendors. Leveraging this popularity, an outlet named 'The BVK Biryani' has implemented the concept of takeaway biryanis in Chennai by installing a vending machine that lets customers order and takeaway fresh biryanis, reported news agency ANI.

Launched in Kolattur, Chennai, Bai Veetu Kalyanam (BVK) Biryani serves authentic premium wedding style Biryani freshly cooked with few hours of farm-to-fork meat. Customers with Biryani hunger pangs can not only satiate their hunger but experience a fast and amazing ordering experience with the vending machine.

One has to place the order on one of the the 32 inch attractive displays - make payment by card or UPI - watch the countdown timer - and just collect the freshly packed order. There is no cash counter where you have to interact and explain the person standing there about your order. So there is no waiting and no explaining to do, just place your order and drive away with your favourite Biryani.

In a video shared on Instagram by food_vettaiandthebvkbiryani, one can see a touchscreen display panel with several options of Biryani to choose from. A customer approaches one of the display screen and places the order. Immediately, a display flashes the time it would take to prepare the order and the countdown begins. The order is delivered via a counter.

According to its Founder & CEO Faheem S the company has plans to launch 12 such centres across Chennai and later scale up its operations pan India, reported news agency ANI
