A LinkedIn member named Akashlal Bathe was surprised to learn that his next-door neighbour was one of Rapido's co-founders. The realisation came unexpectedly when the founder of Rapido posted a request for a ladder on the WhatsApp group for his area. Rapido was founded in 2015 by Aravind Sanka, Pavan Guntupalli, and SR Rishikesh as a platform for bike taxis and a logistics solution provider.

It's unclear which of the three sent the message requesting the ladder, but Bathe, who was also a member of the WhatsApp chat group, responded. Akashlal Bathe, a software developer, was shocked to see his neighbor's "Rapido" WhatsApp status and account picture, so he texted him privately.

He discovered he was one of the company's founders only after searching for his neighbour on Google. In the meantime, his neighbour responded to his question. He wrote, "I am the founder of Rapido," according to screenshots of the conversation that Bathe later posted on LinkedIn. Bathe informed the Rapido founder that he would post the conversation on LinkedIn.

He also praised the company, writing, "Great service. Great service. Rapido has frequently been quite useful. Kaafi baar kaam aaya hai." He uploaded screenshots of the incident to LinkedIn, captioning them, "Happens only in #Bangalore." More than 15,000 people "liked" his LinkedIn post, and it received numerous comments from people requesting the phone number of Rapido's founder.
