Bengaluru is once again in the news. This time it is not about the traffic woes but about the trouble finding an accommodation in the city, which seems to be a perennial problem for the people who come from other places to work in the silicon valley of India. A man, named Tejaswi Shrivastava, has taken to Twitter to share a listing for a 4 BHK flat in which the property owner is seeking a rent of Rs 2.5 lakh and a security deposit of a whopping Rs 25 lakh.

The 5,195 square feet property is located in the posh HSR layout area of the city. At the time of the tweet, the listing, on the No Broker with Posh Society tag, had 14 views.

What made the situation even more interesting was that the app offered the opportunity to apply for a loan to cover the security deposit.

"They should add an option: Apply for Kidney Donation," joked Shrivastava while sharing the screenshot.

Since being shared, the post has been views over 3,000 times and garnered lots of comments.

"The government should pass a bill for this deposit thing like there shouldn't be any deposit or it should be of only 1 month," commented one user on the post.

"What the hell is @nobrokercom trying to do here? Are they legit selling loans for security deposits? So I will pay EMIs for a rented home to pay for a deposit on which the landlord will earn interest!!! What is this world we are living in," wrote another user.

"It's a huge flat in a 'posh' society. I have seen rents such as this at Mumbai Worli seaface , juhu beach area etc. Didn't know HSR layout was such a posh area," commented a third.

While a fourth wrote, "Why would you look for a 5915 sq ft flat in the first place.its nearly a bungalow in a posh area and then crib about its rent and deposit."
