Television News anchoring is not as easy as it seems, especially when things come up unplanned. Amidst all the breaking news chaos inside a news room one can tend to fumble and make mistakes. This is exactly what happened with this BBC news anchor who thought she was off-air. A video of the funny blunder by the presenter while she was live has gone insanely viral.
In the video shared on Twitter by a page called Brexit Shambles, one can see Anchor Lukwesa Burak finishing a segment and introducing another before the cameras cut. "And that was Bethany Bell in Belgrade there. Around the world and across the UK, this is BBC News," she said on TV.
But the segment was cut short and the presenter didn't realise that she was still live on air and decided to stretch a bit while the pre-recorded segment played, but the feed cut straight back to her. The BBC anchor soon realised she is back live and her eyes widened in shock.
"So this just happened on BBC News," read the caption of the post.
Since being shared, the clip has garnered 2.4 million views and tons of omments.
"Don’t see what the problem is I thought it was a bit of light relief from the normally stuffy presenters," commented one user on the post.
"I hope @LukwesaBurak can see the positive replies from people about this! So many of us can relate," wrote another user.
"I feel the same way every time I get off my shift.. relatable," wrote a third.
"When you celebrate a goal but realise you’re in the wrong end Brilliant, wrote a fourth.
