Most Indians' go-to street food is the simple, crispy tiny puris packed with spiced potato filling and dipped in flavour-infused water called Pani Puri. Though the taste varies slightly, depending upon the region, the ingredient inside the pani puri - potatoes or chickpeas - largely remains the same. But a vendor in Gujarat has created an offbeat combination by adding banana as the filling for the puris. Yes, you heard that right. In the clip one can see the street vendor serving his customers the 'banana pani puri.'
In the video shared on the microblogging site Twitter by @MFuturewala, one can see the vendor peeling bananas into a bowl. He then adds chickpeas, spices and coriander leaves and mixes them well. After the ingredient is ready he fills the puri with the mix, dips it in the spice water and serves it to his customers.

Since being shared the post has amassed over 46,000 likes. It has also attracted a lot of comments criticising the combination.
"Dude why? My wife and I have to cancel our plans for tomorrow evening this and Chole Bature at our fav chaat shop near home was supposed to be our dinner, now I have to cook!," commented one user on thepost.
"Thats blasphemous but no harm in trying it may work if jal zeera is too spicy," wrote another user.
"I hate banana's! And you ruined my best street food by sharing this.!!!," commented a third.
While a fourth wrote, "It's for Jain people as they don't eat rooted vegetables like onion, potato it's very common in Gujarat and taste wise it's not that bad as they use raw banana.
