Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MP K Keshava Rao announced Wednesday that the party has yet to make a decision on whether to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building in Delhi on May 28. Speaking to the news agency ANI, Rao stated, "We have not taken any decision yet, we are yet to take a call. It is unlikely that we will attend, but we'll announce our decision tomorrow."

Scheduled to take place on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the new Parliament building in the national capital.

Meanwhile, DMK MP Tiruchi Siva declared that the party will boycott the new Parliament building inauguration. In an interview with ANI, Siva stated, "Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam will boycott the new Parliament building inauguration."

Joining the opposition's stance, the Congress, Trinamool Congress (TMC), Aam Aadmi Party, CPI, and Rashtriya Janata Dal have also decided to boycott the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building.

Congress general secretary KC Venugopal commented, "Congress party discussed with all like-minded parties to boycott the inaugural function of the new Parliament building on 28th May. We are very happy that all opposition parties are coming together to fight against this."

Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party announced, "Aam Aadmi Party will boycott the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building on 28th May. AAP has taken this decision in view of the questions being raised regarding the matter of not inviting the President to the inauguration ceremony."

Despite the objections raised by the opposition, an official invitation from the Lok Sabha Secretariat reveals that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will indeed perform the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building on May 28, in the presence of Lower House Speaker Om Birla.

The invitation, obtained by ANI, was sent by Lok Sabha secretary general Utpal Kumar Singh to various dignitaries, including members of Parliament. The event is scheduled to commence at 12 pm (noon) on May 28.
