A Lamborghini Gallardo valued at Rs 1 crore was intentionally set ablaze and was reduced to ashes in Hyderabad as a result of a business conflict between two car dealers. The perpetrator, identified as Ahmed, also a car dealer based in Hyderabad, stands accused in the case.

On Saturday, Ahmed and Neeraj, another car dealer, met in order to discuss about the car. However, the discussion turned into an argument and ended up in a fight. Soon, Neeraj set the car on fire.

The fire department immediately rushed to the scene and put out the fire. However, the car was severely damaged by them.

The police initiated the action based on a complaint filed by Neeraj, who had bought the luxury car from the owner.

The video of the burnt car was also widely circulated on social media.

According to a report on The Hindu, Inspector P. Guruva Reddy of Pahadi Shareef police revealed that a 15-year-old Lamborghini, registered in Delhi, was targeted for arson by Ahmed. The car dealer, Neeraj, was initially contacted by purported buyers to bring the vehicle to Mamidipally. However, it transpired that Ahmed and associates, with previous disputes over commissions, orchestrated the burning of the car, as stated by the Inspector.

The police have registered a case under Section 435 (Mischief by fire or explosive substance) of Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Meanwhile, Lamborghini stopped the manufacturing of Gallardo 10 years ago.
