Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy attended sister and Andhra Pradesh Congress president YS Sharmila's son's engagement ceremony at Golconda Resort in Gandipet on Thursday. At the event, Jagan was seen hugging his mother Vijayamma and greeting Sharmila. Jagan was also accompanied by his wife YS Bharathi Reddy.


The engagement of Raja Reddy and Atluri Priya took place at Golconda Resort in Gandipet on Thursday.

Raja Reddy and Priya first crossed paths during their master's studies in the United States, and they have been in a relationship for the past four years. Currently, both are residing in the US. The couple are having an intercaste wedding. Raja Reddy is employed in a prominent software firm, while Priya is reportedly working as a financial analyst.


Taking to X, Sharmila earlier said, "Wishing everyone a blessed 2024! Delighted to share the news of my son YS Raja Reddy’s engagement to his sweetheart Atluri Priya on January 18th, with their wedding set for February 17th, 2024. Tomorrow, we’ll visit YSR ghat at Idupulapaya, accompanied by the soon-to-be bride and groom, to present the first invitation card and seek Dad’s blessings."














Sharmila officially joined the Congress party on January 3 in New Delhi in the presence of AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi. She also merged her YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) with the Congress.


On January 16, YS Sharmila Reddy was appointed as the president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress. The Congress President also designated the outgoing PCC President, Shri Gidugu Rudra Raju, as a Special Invitee to the Congress Working Committee.
