Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao on Tuesday claimed that two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs from Telangana hold forged educational certificates from Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan universities.
Taking to Twitter KTR compared BJP Ministers to MunnaBhai MBBS, a film character of Sanjay Dutt. Similar to MunnaBhai, who holds fake certificates of doctor, KTR said, BJP Ministers also showed fake education certificate in affidavits, submitted for the Member of Parliament (MP) seat.
He said that "Looks like we have too many MunnaBhai, MBBS types in BJP. 2 BJP MPs from Telangana are also allegedly Fake Certificate holders. Have forged certificates from Rajasthan & TN Universities.”
"Isn't it a criminal offence to lie in your election affidavit on whose basis MP gets elected? Should the LS speaker not ascertain & disqualify if found guilty?," he asked.
Although in the tweet, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao did not name the BJP MPs who have showed fake degrees from Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu universities.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and MLC K. Kavitha expressed concern over the rise in unemployment rates in the country. She also took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his degrees in her tweet.
The remarks come after a single-judge bench of Justice Biren Vaishnav set aside the order of the Chief Information Commission (CIC) directing the public information officer (PIO) of PMO and the PIOs of Gujarat University and Delhi University to furnish details of Modi's graduate and postgraduate degrees.
Meanwhile, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said the Gujarat High Court verdict on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s degree issue had further increased the “suspicion” over claims about his academic qualification and that he would not have taken steps like note ban if he was educated.
