Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay, BJP MLA Eatala Rajender and several other leaders and party workers were detained by police on Friday as the saffron party was holding a one-day hunger strike over the alleged Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) paper leak.
 
Bandi Sanjay demanded that the state govt order a judicial inquiry by a sitting High Court judge into the alleged TSPSC paper leak. He also demanded that Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao dismiss minister KT Rama Rao from the state Cabinet in connection with the leak of question papers during the Assistant Engineer recruitment exams conducted by the TSPSC.


Telangana BJP leaders marched from the state BJP office and sat in protest at Gun Park over the alleged paper leak. They were later detained by police from Gun Park.






Earlier today, Telangana Police stopped YSRTP chief YS Sharmila from leaving her residence in Hyderabad to hold a protest at the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) office.






According to a Telangana Today report, due to a question paper leak, TSPSC has already postponed the recruitment examinations for 175 vacancies in the Town Planning Building Overseer Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department scheduled for March 12 and 185 vacancies in the Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Department scheduled for March 15 and 16.


The TSPSC conducted the exam on March 5 for 833 vacancies of assistant engineer, technical officer, municipal assistant engineer, and junior technical officer in various engineering departments. Approximately 55,000 candidates took the written exam.
