Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) introduced a mobile application called "TSRTC Bus Tracking" on Tuesday to make bus journey easy and encourage people to use public transport buses.


During the launch, the RTC MD VC Sajjanar said that the mobile application 'TSRTC Bus Tracking’ is available to download at the Google play store, enabling passengers to live-track RTC buses.


Sajjanar said this tracking system would be made available in 4,170 buses selected at 96 depots in Telangana. The initiative would assist users in planning their journey and avoiding unnecessary waiting time at bus stops and stations by providing information on the arrival and departure of buses at various points around Telangana and neighbouring states.

Currently, 140 buses have been selected for the pilot project, of which 40 AC Pushpak buses belonging to Cantonment, Miyapur - 2 depots have a tracking facility. Another 100 long-distance buses on routes like Srisailam, Vijayawada, Eluru, Bhadrachalam, and Visakhapatnam will be tracked. 


Soon all the reservation services in Hyderabad will also be made available on the tracking app. Passengers can also give their feedback on the behaviour of the conductor, driver and other staff through this app.


The RTC MD requested the passengers to download the app from the Google play store. A link to download the mobile app is also available at www.tsrtc.telangana.gov.in.
