Telangana: Mother-Daughter Duo Clear SI Fitness Test In Khammam

Nagamani is a BCom graduate, while her daughter Trilokini recently completed her BSc (Life Science) at the RJC Degree and PG College in Khammam.

A 38-year-old woman, Tholla Nagamani, a police constable, and her 21-year-old daughter, Tholla Trilokini, from Chennaram village in Nelakondapalli mandal of Khammam district, are competing for sub-inspector selection along with hundreds of others. Both cleared the physical fitness tests being conducted for police sub-inspector posts and qualified for the written test.

According to a Telangana Today report, Nagamani is a BCom graduate, while her daughter Trilokini recently completed her BSc (Life Science) at the RJC Degree and PG College in Khammam. Nagamani joined the Police Department in 2007 as a Home Guard and later got selected as a constable and was transferred to Mulugu recently. 

“My mother wants to become a Sub-Inspector and so she applied for the post along with me,” Trilokini told Telangana Today.

“My mother is in the Police Department and it inspired me to apply for the job and we both encouraged each other to excel in the tests,” Trilokini further said.

According to an ABP Desam report, Hanumakonda Kakatiya University in Warangal was the venue for stipendiary trainee, constable, and sub-inspector recruitments conducted for women candidates from December 10 to 15. After scrutinising the certificates of the women candidates who reached the KU grounds at 5 AM on Wednesday, an 800-meter run was conducted. Along with height, long jump and shot put tests were conducted for the candidates who qualified in this run.

Reportedly, these exams were conducted by Warangal Police Commissioner AV Ranganath and supervised at field level. Out of a total of 4,784 candidates, 4,303 appeared in the physical fitness tests conducted for women, out of which 3,128 qualified for the written test.
