Amid the competition between Congress, BJP and BRS to secure the MLC graduates' constituency, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao urged voters on Sunday to consider their options carefully before casting their ballots. The by-election for the MLC graduates' constituency is scheduled for May 27.

On Saturday, Rama Rao criticized both Congress and BJP for failing to fulfill their promises. He made these remarks while addressing two campaign meetings in Bhongir and Aler, as part of BRS's efforts to win the election for the Member of Legislative Council (MLC) from the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates' constituency.

KTR stated that while Congress has reneged on its promises made during the Assembly elections, the BJP government at the Centre has done nothing for Telangana over the past ten years. He appealed to voters to think carefully before choosing their candidate, according to a report on IANS.

KTR emphasised that voters should consider not only the political parties but also the qualities of the candidates. An alumnus of BITS Pilani BRS candidate Rakesh Reddy, KTR highlighted that the party has fielded a highly educated candidate. Rakesh Reddy had the opportunity to earn crores in the US but chose to return to serve the people, KTR noted.

"You have a highly educated candidate from BRS and a blackmailer from Congress," he said while commenting on Congress candidate Chintapandu Naveen, also known as Teenmaar Malanna.

The constituency, encompassing 34 Assembly seats across the erstwhile districts of Warangal, Khammam, and Nalgonda, has 4.6 lakh voters. Although there are 52 candidates in the race, the main contest will be a triangular one among the candidates from Congress, BRS, and BJP.

KT Rama Rao criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to fulfill promises made over the last 10 years. He also pointed out that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's promise to waive farm loans by December 9 has remained unfulfilled even after five months.
