Following the suspension of Jharkhand BJP leader Seema Patra for torturing and enslaving her domestic help, Sunitha, Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao pledged support to the hospitalised Sunitha, who expressed her will to study further after she completely heals in a viral video.

Responding to a tweet, in which the domestic help was heard saying, "She would want to study further once she is completely fine.", KTR wrote, "I would be happy to contribute in my personal capacity to the young girl’s education. Please send me her family’s details."

Minister KTR was responding to a tweet posted with a video published by senior journalist Barkha Dutt. After a video of the victim, Sunitha went viral, in which she explained how badly she was tortured, BJP suspended Seema from the party and she has been arrested in the case of brutally torturing a domestic help in her house.

Meanwhile, the arrested BJP leader claimed that the allegations against her are motivated and is being framed in a false case. “These are false allegations, politically motivated allegations. I have been implicated,” said Patra, as quoted by The Print.

Less than eight years ago, Seema brought Sunita, a tribal woman, to work as a house help and brutally tortured her. While this incident created a sensation, the police arrested Seema on Wednesday who was absconding. On the flip side, BJP announced that Seems has been suspended from the party. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has expressed anger over the issue and urged the DGP of Jharkhand to take stern action against Seema.
