Hyderabad: Telangana Minister of Urban Development, IT and Industries KT Rama Rao and Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy inaugurated the underpass at LB Nagar junction and the Left Hand Side (LHS) Flyover at Bairamalguda Junction.
Under the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP), the LB Nagar underpass and the Bairamalguda flyover were constructed at the cost of Rs 40 crore and Rs 29 crore, respectively.
Speaking at a meeting after laying the foundation stone for the development of canals in Nagole and Bandlaguda, KTR challenged Union Minister Kishan Reddy to get the Centre to approve Rs 10,000 crore for the city's development.
KTR said that the TRS government is spending Rs 103 crore to build canals to prevent floods. He stated that a super specialty hospital would be constructed on the site of the Gaddiannaram fruit market.
He said that LB Nagar residents had faced severe difficulties due to rains and floods in the past. KTR reminded that development works had been undertaken in LB Nagar constituency with Rs 2,500 crore.

KTR said, we have undertaken canal development works worth Rs 1,000 crore to prevent flooding, and 12 reservoirs have been constructed to address the freshwater problem in the LB Nagar area.
Telangana Home Minister Mahmood Ali and LB Nagar MLA Sudhir Reddy, Hyderabad Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi and corporators were present on the occasion.
