Hyderabad: Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao on Monday inaugurated two-bedroom houses in the Mustabad zone of Rajanna Sircilla district.

Speaking on this occasion, he said, "We are providing houses to the people without taking a single penny. The government aims to provide houses to all those who are eligible."

He said that construction of houses with all facilities had been undertaken and construction of double bedroom houses is an ideal for the country. He said the construction of these houses had been undertaken in the state at the cost of Rs 18,000 crore. It has been revealed that these will be available to everyone very soon.

KTR reminded that Rs 8,500 crore has been allocated for Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak schemes. He said the KCR government would keep its word. He said that after the formation of Telangana State, we are constructing double bedroom houses intending to give life to the poor with self-respect.

He said the double bedroom house would have cost between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 25 lakh if it had been built by a private builder. It was questioned whether there were any such structures in any state.

He said CM KCR is a stubborn man and he would not leave until any work was completed. So every poor person will be given a double bedroom house, KTR said.
